NYCNDA Brooklyn!
NYCNDA Brooklyn begins May 2010. Our programs will include: Music & Movement (ages 2-4 years), Mommy & Me (0-18 months), Learning Hour (3-5 years) and Hiragana Practice (5-7 years).
NYCNDA in-house staff, Etsuko and Yuko, will be running these groups.
Registration required. NYCNDA reserves the right to cancel any program with less than 5 registrations.

Spring 2010 Programs
Playgroup
Learning the Japanese language and culture through everyday activities. Activities include: open play, hand song play, music, cultural games and crafts and storytime.
This spring drop your children off for playgroup and take this time to catch up on shopping,
meet friends or simply relax! Moms, Dads and caregivers do not need to stay!
(see below for age restrictions).
Children ages 2*-6years welcome. Under 2 years old parent or caregiver must remain at the group.
*If child needs fulltime one-on-one attention then parent/caregiver will be asked to stay for the duration of the group.
No previous experience with Japanese required. All activities are held in Japanese.
Staff is certified in Pediatric First Aid and CPR.

Winter 2010 passes are vaild thru 4/3/10. All Spring 2010 passes are valid from 4/13/10-7/1/10. Saturday 7/3 playgroup is CLOSED.
Mommy & Me
Japanese class for mothers and their infants ages 0 to 18 months.
Through songs, Japanese hand play, and reading we help mothers build strong bonds with their tots. Moms learn easy make-at-home crafts and tips on making songs and books more interactive for their babies. Fathers are welcomed.
Basic Japanese language skill required for this class.
Space will be available for mothers to arrive early and get settled.

Hiragana Play & Practice
We have combined our introductory and intermediate classes to address each child’s specific skill level. Children ages 3.5-5years will arrive early for introduction/review of hiragana recongition with games and play. After-school children ages 5-7 years will practice writing while building vocabulary. This class is taught by Yuko sensei and (2) assistant teachers.
The class will also reinforce cultural knowledge and spoken language with songs and games.
Each class will build on material from previous class so regular attendance is highly recommended.
Ages 3.5-5 years: 3pm-5pm
Ages 5-7 years: 3:30pm-5pm

Mom Time
Everyone needs some time to run errands, go to appointments or just relax! This drop off service helps you do just that! Open play is supervised by native Japanese staff. Every 30 minutes staff leads children in songs, traditional Japanese games (based on age) and reading books. Staff is certified in Pediatric First Aid and CPR.
No walk-ins please.
All children must be registered 48 hours in advanced (call or email by Saturday morning).

Group care for Culinary Atelier
Enjoy a variety of cooking seminars with Chef Hideji Asanuma and Holistic Health Counselor, Aya Ota while your children join NYCNDA staff for group care in Japanese. You may drop off your child 10minutes before seminar begins. Please pick up immediately following the seminar.
Group care fee: $20/child
Children must be at least 2 years old. Please visit our location page for our new policy on strollers.

Sibling Rate
Sibling rate is valid for 2 siblings (in the same family) that attend NYCNDA together.
The price is equal to one full price ticket and one ticket with a 15% discount. Please do not share passes between siblings.
Advance Purchase Policies
Lost or stolen passes: Please retain your original receipt to have a lost or stolen pass reissued.
Refunds: No refunds please on unused passes or partially used passes.
